Dr. Shetty is really great and professional. But the staff could definitely use some improvement. I can NEVER talk to reception … they seldom answer the phones…I always have to send text via their website. And they’re not helpful.. always say call back call back and when you do and they never answer the phone, all you get is the darn music. SO FRUSTRATING.

Have tried calling several times with no success, only music. When is my next appointment?

Dr Shetty is thorough and always available to take my call during my mother's visit when I’m out of town to discuss my mother’s status in her fibrosis. I truly appreciate it!

My last visit I was there for the 6MPFT. I understood the first team member easily. She spoke clearly and normal tone. The second team member that finished the last part of the last test was not as friendly. When it was time to blow she hollered “blow”. Took me by surprise.

How refreshing it was to have a Doctor like Dr. Shetty sit down and talk with you about your history and what medications would work better than your present ones. It is hard to see a Doctor more than 2-3 minutes anymore but Doctor Shetty took all the time needed to explain your present condition and where you should be at this time. Also, his staff is top notch. The entire office seems to care about you.

I was seen 5 minutes early (miracle, right?)), vitals were promptly taken, and five minutes later, Dr. Shetty came in; lots to be discussed since I had had a procedure done at the end of December. As usual, (and one of his finest traits) he looked me in the eye and explained everything. I left feeling so much better than when I walked in. Also, hudos to all of his staff.

790 is the address, in New Braunfels. The doctor’s office is at the end is the road, at the end of the parking lot, the last office, in the last building, in the row…so symbolically dreadful…until you walk through that door! I have to start at the front desk. Patients are greeted with smiles that say hello, we know you don’t want to be here, but whatever is going on with you, we want you to know we will care for you like you were our family. When escorted back into the exam room section the medical aide is also smiling and welcoming Their professionalism is quietly understated as the staff back there works helping patients in person and on the phone. It is a very pleasant experience to be in the presence of all those demonstrably caring individuals. Then, there is Dr. Shetty, himself. Here stands a man with all the knowledge in the world about lungs and could arrogantly tell his patients what their going to do based upon his knowledge and experience. But, no, he doesn’t do that. He educates his patients so they can make an informed decision in the care path they choose to have the good doctor take them on. He has a demeanor that is gentle in a good-humored way that sets his patients at ease, at once. I am confident that what ever the path a patient has to take, Dr. Shetty and his staff are right behind God holding the patient’s best interests in hand to ensure they deliver the best care and treatment possible. I am so grateful for Dr. Shetty and his staff. May God bless them and their families and all the patients who walk in that door, at the end is the road, at the end of the parking lot, the last office, in the last building, in the row…so symbolically dreadful…until you walk through that door!

I see many doctors for different health issues, most of which are very disinterested and non caring, so Im not very easily impressed however I’m totally impressed with this doctor. My cardiologist had mentioned that Dr Shetty was the best pulmonologist in our area, so I requested a visit. He not only looks professional, he is very knowledgeable and patient. He sat quietly taking notes as I explained my medical history. He sincerely took an interest and order several exams and follow ups. He described my condition in a way that I can easily understand. I left his office confident that he will help manage my condition. When my husband asked me how was my visit, I replied “I hit lotto with this doctor” Dr Shetty is truly a gem!

Just had a pulmonary function test on May 10 . I have an appointment on the 19th to get the rest results . Seem like a long time to wait for results!.

Not only is Dr. Shetty tops in his field, but he appears to have a knowledge staff. The staff has been on top of appointments and good follow-up on all information from other Doctors. This is something very important all around not only for the Doctors but the patient.

The front office needs to greet people as they enter the office and the nurses in the back were amazing and so kind, Dr Shetty is a kind hearted man. I love the way he explained everything to me. I am a physician and have referred Many patients to Dr. Shetty. When I had a long issue he was number one on the list for me to see.

Dr Shetty’s combination of bedside manner, mastery of critical care and management of chronic illness is unique. As a physician taking care of such complex patients he has set the bar for all others in his field. He is a true professional.

Had a 1:00pm appointment - front office staff was absent upon arrival at 12:45pm, when they did arrive back to the office at 12:47 they were too busy eating lunch to confirm who I was or my appointment. The tech/nurse came to call me back at 1:05pm - she was amazing, the appointment went well from there. When departing the front office again did not acknowledge anything, check for a co-pay, nothing! Recommend whoever the office manager is retrains the front office on BASIC pleasantries, such as acknowledging the patient and confirming the appointment and ensuring a follow appointment is scheduled if necessary. Bottom line is the office personnel are extremely lacking in customer service.

The tech could have been more cognizant of my fathers ability to inhale during the pulmonary breath test before telling him to exhale. He got choked up. It happened during the first test also last year. I was following same direction as I was watching and it was impossible for me to execute. I did correct her and it was finished within two tests instead of repeating same flaw. Maybe better training or execution could remedy for future patients with same issues of slower response hearing instructions.

The young lady was very accommodating and able to convey clearly what was needed of myself to perform the tasks required for the successful completion of the tests, she answered all my questions and was kind and professional,
